These sessions take around 2 hours on average. If you are just having the Careers Advice on a one to one this lasts for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your needs.

Depending on your needs, you will be taught about the current job market, what employers are looking for in the current employment market in London. This training is conducted in groups and will cover the areas of motivation and confidence building, team working, financial budgeting, time management, transferable skills, problem solving skills, introduction to CV, interview techniques, application forms and cover letters and communication skills and customer service.

You are supported by our Job Buddies to further develop your job search, CV writing and interview skills, and to carry out directed job search. By the end of these support sessions you will have developed a new CV and undergone role play interviews.

You can access taster sessions at employer venues. At different intervals during your training our Job Buddies will take you out to different places of work on a ‘work visit’ for the day so you can meet other employees, speak to the employer and see what the work environment is like.

You will develop a future plan as you become ready to move on. After the training we will keep in touch with you.
